Privacy Policy

NERDS Computer Repair is a small computer repair and custom PC business in Dalton, Georgia. This page explains what information we collect, why, and what we do with it. The short version: we use your information to do the work you asked for and to talk to you about it. We do not sell it.

What we collect

• Contact and quote forms. Your name, email, phone number, and whatever you write about your device or build. Forms on this site are delivered to us through Formspree.
• Live chat. If you use the chat box, your messages are handled by Tawk.to so we can reply.
• Repair drop-off. When you leave a device with us, we collect your contact details and the details of the job, and you may sign our repair terms through an online form.
• Site analytics. Some pages use Google Analytics, which collects general visit information such as pages viewed and approximate location. It does not tell us who you are.

How we use it

• To answer your questions, send quotes, and schedule and complete repairs or builds.
• To send invoices and receipts.
• To understand which pages are useful so we can improve the site.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your information. We only share it with the services listed on this page, and only so they can do their part.

Your devices and data

During a repair we may need to access your device to test it and confirm the fix. We do not browse, copy, or keep your personal files beyond what the job requires. If a job includes a data backup or transfer, we only handle the files needed to complete it. We still recommend backing up anything important before you drop off a device.

Our YouTube tools

We use a small internal tool that connects to our own YouTube channel through the YouTube API to manage our stream videos and thumbnails. It only accesses the NERDS channel. It does not collect or store any information about viewers or other YouTube users. Use of YouTube is covered by the YouTube Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy.

Keeping and deleting your information

We keep job and invoice records as long as we need them for the work, warranty, and tax purposes. If you want to see or delete the information we have about you, email info@chattnerds.com or call or text 423-521-5694 and we will take care of it.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date at the top.
