Assess
We come to your site, document the hardware, catalog the software, photograph every port and cable, and identify every connection between the PC and your equipment. Nothing gets touched until we understand exactly what we're working with.

Clone
Before anything changes, we make a bit-for-bit copy of your original hard drive. That clone goes on a labeled backup drive that sits on your shelf. If anything ever goes sideways, you plug that drive back into the original PC and you're running again in minutes.

Modernize
We move your old operating system and software onto new, reliable hardware. Whether that means running the original environment in a virtual machine, installing on a modern industrial PC, or replacing the software with a current equivalent, we recommend the best path based on what we find.

Test
The new system runs alongside your existing setup before it ever controls a machine. You sign off when you're satisfied. Not before.

Protect
Your original PC and cloned drive stay stored as your emergency fallback. We never scrap working backup hardware. If the new system ever has an issue, you've got a path back up and running the same day.
Upgrade paths

Virtualization

Your old OS and software run inside a virtual machine on a brand new, reliable PC. Serial and USB connections pass through to the VM just like they did on the original hardware.

Best for: Systems with standard serial or USB connections. The most common path.

Hardware Swap

New industrial-grade PC running the original operating system with the right drivers. Paired with a cloned backup drive on the shelf so you always have a fallback.

Best for: Systems with proprietary expansion cards or where virtualization overhead is a concern.

Software Replace

The legacy application gets replaced with a modern equivalent that performs the same machine control functions on current hardware and a current operating system.

Best for: Simple control interfaces or when a modern alternative exists.
Why us

We didn't learn about legacy hardware from a textbook. We learned it the same way you did: by working on it. IDE ribbon cables, IRQ conflicts, DOS boot disks, serial port configuration, ISA cards. We were there for all of it because we grew up on these systems.
